FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


1.  Why are Fall registrations so Early?

      WYS places teams with BAYS.ORG and they require commitment and payment for travel teams by mid July.  In order to place teams WYS has to know

      the players that will fill out rosters for travel teams prior to placing teams.


2.  What is the purpose of Spring evaluations?

      WYS Board attempts to place players with similarly skilled players.  This is the priority when determining which roster teams are placed.

      The WYS Board makes the final decision on where players are placed.  Parents may make requests when the fill out an on line registration for Travel Soccer however

      requests are usually unable to be satisfied.  Usually the request just happens to fit with where a player should be placed due to skill.

      WYS does take in consideration the player evaluations provided by coaches.  Teams typically remain the same for the Fall and the following Spring season due to the

      abilities of the players often remain similar in this time period and it allows the coach to remain familiar with the players returning for the Spring Season.

      From time to time a player may be moved prior to the Spring season but it isn't typical.  WYS trys to inform the family prior to a change before the Spring Season however this isn't always achieved.

 3.  Travel schedules can be found at www.BAYS.org.

 4.  Team coaches are volunteer parents who have filled out the coaching paperwork and registered with CORI.  To volunteer contact wystravelsoccer@gmail.com .

       It is the responsibility of parents to obtain a coach for their childs team amongst the parents on the team or a volunteer that is approved by the WYS Board.
