This is an in-town program (no travel to other towns) for boys and girls, grades 2-3, held twice a week. Each session runs for 8 Satruday's and 7 Wednesday's and is facilitated by professional coaches with a strong focus on the required skills to play travel soccer.
Wednesday evening sessions are for practice, where children will learn the fundamentals of competitive soccer (how to throw a ball in, what is a goal and corner kick, defense and offense). Saturdays are used to implement those learned skills in game play. Children will be placed on teams and have games each Saturday session among each other.
This program requires a parent, guardian or adult to remain with the registered players for the duration of the session. We ask that each child bring a size 4 ball (sizes vary), water/drink, and wear shin guards to each session. Cleats are recommended for Skills. Watertown Youth Soccer will provide your child with a red shirt at the first session.
Skills is held in most weather, unless the fields are closed by Watertown or the coaches deem the fields unsafe (you will get an email notification) you should plan on there being a session. No makeups due to weather.
Please consider parking at the new Filippello Grove parking lot and walk across the park to the Arlington Street side, it's safer and more parking spaces. The Berkeley St Parking Lot no longer has park access, please do not park in this lot, park on Arlington Street or in the lot off of Grove Street.
