Families of players who will be playing U12 and U14 this coming Fall, 2009:

Watertown Youth Soccer League, in coordination with our new roving soccer coach Matt from Challenger British Sports, invites girls and boys who will be playing in the fall to come play pickup games at Filipello Park on Sunday May 17th (girls only) and Sunday May 31st (boys only) from 9 am to 11 am. This will be an opportunity to identify areas for skill development as well as to determine how many teams Watertown will field at these age levels. This is aimed especially for current players of the U11 teams (Barracudas), U 12 teams (Penguins, Little Devils and Hurricanes) and U14 teams (Stallions, Atleticos, Magic and Wave players who will still be eligible to play U14 if they are under 14 years of age as of July 31st, 2009).

Please contact your current coach or one of us for any questions.

Goalie clinic

Watertown Youth Soccer is offering a Goalie Clinic. This season we have asked our coaches to remind their players who like to be a goal keeper to participate. If you have not been notified by your coach, please have your son or daughter to come on Sundays to this clinic. The clinic is held at Filipello Park off Arlington street from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. The clinic is run by our semi-professional instructor coach and is a great tool for improving our youth soccer skills. WYSL strongly recommends this program to our youth. It is free to all our traveling players. They only need to bring water and a ball to the practice. As usual, for their safety proper soccer cleats as well as shin guards are needed.

Note: no clinic will take place on May, 17th, 24th and 31st, clinics will resume on June 7th.
