Coaching Requirements
Concussion Training
Concussions are a serious concern in all of youth sports. It's important for coaches to be able to recognized concussion signs in a player and how to respond. BAYS requires all coaches to participate in concussion training and offers a free online course that can be done at your convenience. Once completed, you are asked to print your certificate (please make sure to save a copy) and hand it into the Watertown Youth Soccer Registrar.
CORI Form
All coaches must complete a CORI form in order to coach a team. This is mandatory to ensure the safety of our players. New coaches can register for a CORI here. Please enter “Watertown Youth Soccer” in the Name of Organization field on the form. You still need to complete a form even if you have an existing CORI registration for other volunteer activities, every organization needs it's own registration.
Coaches Credentials and Laynyard
BAYS "Travel" Coaches must wear Mass Youth Soccer credentials with lanyard AT ALL TIMES whil with soccer players.
New Coaches - Please e-mail a color photo (head and shoulders) to the WYS Registrar - Karen Young.
